The WNYGVIH was severely impacted by our WNY climate sample this week. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday’s sport have been all postponed, then one on Thursday postponed as a consequence of a Zamboni break-down at North Buffalo.

On Thursday, January 23, FFLOP performed KengiPort to a 3-3 additional time tie. Scoring have been Isabella Jayme, assisted by Isabella Burt; Isabelle Bourgeault, unassisted and Jayme with Burt on the final objective for KenGiPort. Ella Johnston stopped 23 of 26. For FFLOP it was Chloe Gearhart, assisted by Olivia Waterman and Brooklyn Forcucci; Lilah Cudney assisted by Waterman and Maya Griffin, assisted by Peyton Forcucci and Waterman. Rachael Repair stopped 20 of 23.

CASH performed NiCo to a 6-5 additional time victory at Northtowns. Scoring for NiCo have been Abbey Zimmerman with a hattrick plus one and Sam Latini including one. Assists got here from Madeline Remus (2), Madelyn Martin, Latini (2) and Olivia Terranova. Lila Jones stopped 25/31. For CASH it was Georgia Mango, Kiley Breeze, Celia Watson (the game-winner plus one), Alexandria Reed and Maya Adimey. Helping have been Breeze, Gabriella Lindell,(2) Cecilia Bizub, Adimey and Polina Stremiakova. Ella Celej stopped 31/36. Celej was additionally named First Pupil Athlete of the Week on WKBW TV.


HEWS took a 3-1 victory over St. Mary’s of Lancaster with Brooke Vetter scoring, assisted by Lilliana Smardz, the game-winner scored by Kylie Wegrzynkowski, assisted by Meghan Waszkielewicz and Kayla Pelc and a power-play objective by Brynn Holland, assisted by Sophia Phillips and Clare Sokolowski. In objective Ella Buczynski stopped 24 of 25 for the W. For St. Mary’s it was the tieing objective by Alanah Pagano, assisted by Meghan Donnelly and Riley Kumrow. Avery Corridor stopped 9 of 10 and Betsy Accurso stopped 16 of 18.
The next day HEWS confronted St. Mary’s as soon as once more and it resulted in a 2-2 additional time tie. Avery Szczesek had each objectives for St. Mary’s. Teammates Samantha Hatt and Lauren Gilano assisted on the primary and second, respectively. For HEWS Pelc scored each objectives, the primary assisted by Waszkielewicz and the second was unassisted. Buczynski stopped 31 of 33.

As famous Celej of CASH was named First Pupil Tremendous 7 Athlete of the Week and leads the league in Save Proportion with no less than two video games performed.
Maya Griffin (FFLOP) hit the 30 level mark in common season play and becoming a member of her on that checklist is NiCO’s Zimmerman and Latini.
It’s KenGiPort, FFLOP and St. Mary’s on the prime of the scoreboard in League play as we transfer into the ultimate three weeks of common season motion.

Griffin (FFLOP) has 35 factors (as of 1/28/24) and sits in first place with teammate Gabby Sojda sitting in second with 31. Zimmerman and Latini are vying for that prime spot at 30 every.
Robust goaltending by KenGiPort has the highest three areas on the leaderboard going to their three goaltenders Jillian Hager (performed 45 minutes with 3 photographs, 3 saves); Hadley Dahlgreen (performed 90 minutes with a 1 GAA) and Ella Johnston (452.75 minutes performed and a .920 save proportion).


The goaltender with essentially the most minutes within the web is Betsy Accurso of St. Marys with 608 minutes between the pipes and a .895 save%.
As of this writing three of 4 video games scheduled for Monday, January 27 have been performed. NiCo at HEWS at West Seneca was postponed as a consequence of climate circumstances in Niagara County. 4 video games are scheduled for Tuesday (tonight), one for Wednesday and 4 for Thursday.
