SAINT PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Frost have introduced its official roster to open the 2024-25 Skilled Girls’s Hockey League (PWHL) season. The Frost will hit the ice for the primary time in Season Two on Sunday, Dec. 1 at 5:00 p.m. CT after they host the New York Sirens at Xcel Vitality Middle.
“The bar is excessive with our staff after successful the Walter Cup final season,” stated Frost Normal Supervisor Melissa Caruso. “We have been impressed by the younger gamers that got here into camp and competed and cherished the expansion we noticed in our returnees. We be ok with our depth and the character of this staff and sit up for seeing them on the ice collectively this season.”
Following pre-season Mini Camp, the Frost signed returnees Brooke Bryant (F), Claire Butorac (F) and Mellissa Channell-Watkins (D) together with 2024 draft picks Mae Batherson (D – St. Lawrence College), Katy Knoll (F – Northeastern College), Brooke McQuigge (F – Clarkson College) and Dominique Petrie (F – Clarkson College) to one-year Customary Participant Agreements to finish its lively roster. The staff additionally signed Charlotte Akervik (D – Minnesota State College), Lucy Morgan (G – College of Minnesota), and Kaitlyn O’Donohoe (F – Colgate College) to Reserve Participant contracts.
Of the staff’s 26 whole gamers, 16 competed as members of PWHL Minnesota through the league’s inaugural season and 10 are PWHL rookies.
