The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired ahead Ryder Korczak from the New York Rangers in trade for ahead Lucas Edmonds.
Korczak, 22, has three objectives and eight assists in 35 video games for the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack this season. The second-year professional has totaled 12 objectives and 19 assists for 31 factors in 107 AHL contests.
Korczak made his Calder Cup Playoff debut final season, gathering one objective and one help in 10 video games.
A local of Yorkton, Sask., Korczak was a third-round choose by the Rangers within the 2021 NHL Draft.
Edmonds, who turns 24 on Monday, has one objective and 4 assists in 26 appearances for the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch this season. In his third professional season, Edmonds has registered 25 objectives and 23 assists for 48 factors in 120 profession AHL video games with Syracuse.
The native of North Bay, Ont., was chosen within the third spherical of the 2022 NHL Draft by the Lightning.
