Milan Lucic signed an expert tryout settlement with the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.
The 37-year-old ahead didn’t play final season after taking a depart of absence from the Boston Bruins in November 2023 and later getting into the NHL/NHLPA Participant Help Program. He had two assists in 4 video games in 2023-24, his seventeenth NHL season.
A second-round decide (No. 50) by Boston on the 2006 NHL Draft, Lucic has 586 factors (233 targets, 353 assists) in 1,177 regular-season video games with the Bruins, Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames, and 77 factors (29 targets, 48 assists) in 136 Stanley Cup Playoff video games.
Lucic gained the Cup with Boston in 2011.
St. Louis opens this season Oct. 9 towards the Minnesota Wild.
