With the fifth total choose within the NHL Draft, the Preds have chosen heart Brady Martin.
Martin performed for the Saulte Ste. Marie Greyhounds final season, and represented Canada on the WJC, carrying an A for each groups. Nearly each scouting group had him set to go within the first half of the primary spherical, and though he got here off the board somewhat sooner than anticipated, the Preds stay in dire want of a powerful heart.
He was described by Elite Prospects as a bodily, hard-hitting participant with talent and pace and a stable defensive presence. He additionally had 72 factors in 57 video games for the Greyhounds, with 33 targets and 39 assists, in addition to 11 factors (3G/8A) for Workforce Canada’s U18s in seven video games on the World Juniors.
