RIO RANCHO, N.M. – Following a robust response from the group, the New Mexico Professional Hockey Membership has introduced the three finalists for its official workforce identify. The “Identify the Crew” contest generated practically 2,000 submissions from followers throughout the state and past. The next names have been chosen as finalists:
- Cutthroats
- A nod to the native Rio Grande cutthroat trout, New Mexico’s state fish, identified for its aggressive nature and putting colours.
- Goatheads
- Impressed by the goathead thorn – a relentless desert weed that’s practically unimaginable to kill – and the wild Ibex goat – a logo of survival in harsh, mountainous terrain.
- Tarantula Hawks
- The tarantula hawk, New Mexico’s state insect, is likely one of the Southwest’s most formidable predators. This massive wasp is thought for having one of the vital painful stings on this planet.
